As reported by the Public Relations, the Manuscripts Restoration Workshop was opened in the central library of the SBUK.
Chairman of the university, Dr. Taher; Deputy of Research and Technology, Dr. Ehteshamzade; Deputy of Education and Graduate Studies, Dr. Molaei attended the ceremony during which the curator of manuscripts in the library, Mr. Hasheminejad said: the manuscripts unit is composed of two parts i.e. the restoration workshop located inside the central library and the central storage of manuscripts and carpets' maps in the research center for Islamic and Iranian Culture.
He also added: the oldest manuscript of the library is the Holy Quran by Molana Ahmad MohammadReza's calligraphy from the Safavid era.
This center also enjoys books, documents, manuscripts and traditional publications and old maps including Almanazer and restored carpets' maps whose listing would be finished soon.
In the end, attendants visited the central storage in the research center and the deputy of research and technology also declared the readiness to receive manuscripts for restoration and electronic version preparation.
