In line with the opening of powe simulator laboratory and PLC laboratory in university and also the 10MW Solar Plant of Mahan, and MOU was signed between the SBUK and Kerman Regional Electric Company to boost mutual cooperations. Chancellor of SBUK, Dr. Taher and Director of Kerman Regional Electric Company, Eng. Nasrollahi signed the MOU.
During the signing ceremony, Dr. Ehteshamzade acknowledged the support of Regional Electric Company in equipping the PLC Lab, especially donating the power simulator systems, stated that more effective relations between university and industry not only would lead students to take their theses on the subjects that are needed by the industry, but also helps their employment in the electrical industry increases.
She continued that electrical engineering has been taught for 40 years now, since the university establishment. Today, we have 800 undergraduate students andmore than 100 graduate and postgraduate ones in this department.
Faculty memeber of electrical enginnering, Dr. Abdollahi, who has also been te connector between university and TAVANIR Company in installation and implementation of power simulator system said:
it took almost a year to prepare the power simulator with the help of TAVANIR and regional electric company and it was installed in university in three days. SBUK is one of the few universities having this system at hand and students of this field could now experience te real working space of a power plant and pursue their studies.
Director of Iran's Renewable Energy Organization, Dr. Mahmoudinezhad, who was in Kerman for the ceremony of starting the construction of 10 MW Mahan Solar Plant emphasized on the relationship between university and industry and said: whenever industry has trusted the university, it was a win since university is a center with high energy whose members are always searching to upgrade the sciences and solve the problems of society.
